The new seven wonders of the world

Since my post about "Why do I want to see the wonders of the world," I've been asked several times what are the new wonders of the world. So I listed them here. The featured picture above lists the new seven wonders of the world along with its finalists. The selection and worldwide voting of these new wonders were organized by New7wonders.com. The official new seven wonders were announced at Lisbon, Portugal on July 7, 2007.
The ancient seven wonders of the world
The original seven ancient wonders of the world are listed below. The Great Pyramid of Giza, in Egypt, is the only one left standing and the rest have been destroyed.
The new seven wonders of nature
Additionally, the New7wonders.com is currently in the process of establishing the new seven wonders of nature. The voting is now on the third phase, anyone can vote at http://www.new7wonders.com/n7w, and the winners will be announced sometimes in 2011.
